Needlework & Cross Stitch Framing

At The Bespoke Framer we offer a custom needlework, embroidery and cross stitch framing service.

Our experienced and professional picture framers will be able to offer you advice as to which combinations of frame and mounts will suit your work best. We are here to help showcase your needlework.

A fixing method for embroideries and cross stitch is to stretch your item over board and secure in place on the reverse side.

Our aim is to ensure that your work is neatly presented within its frame. Whilst ensuring that the fixing method is fully reversible and does not damage your work in any way, where possible. Embellishment can be added with the option of using a coloured window mount. A UV protective glass is also available which will help protect your piece, and prevent colour fade.

For delicate items, we will use conservation grade materials and where possible use framing methods that will help to preserve items, such as this antique silk. The below item was attached to conservation mount board using PH neutral tape, and then shadow float mounted against a suede mount. This particular item has been framed using a double frame which offers depth and detail.

We are also able to frame larger fabric items, such as tapestries. The below tapestry was framed using a wooden substrate which was created to stretch the tapestry over which was then attached, prior to framing.
